Great + Attitude = #gratitude: Q&A with XOMAD

As the business of the holidays quickly approaches, #teamXOMAD is taking a moment to slow down and appreciate what we’ve been given. 2017 has definitely been a whirlwind of a year with so much happening all over the world, but we still have so much to be thankful for.

Gratitude and thanksgiving not only makes us happier, but it improves sleep, self-esteem, aggression, and general wellbeing! Even Forbes agrees! So, celebrate with us as we give thanks:

WHAT are you most thankful for this year?

Kelly: This year has felt like epic disaster is flying at the world from all directions, and I feel more grateful than ever to be living in the free world, where the power of the people is stronger than the people in power and the love won’t be stopped.

Darby:  When I think of what I’m thankful for, it almost always ties back to people. (Hayley and I have a lot in common here). While my family remains a steadfast source of gratitude for me, I’ve been shown amazing friendships this year. We’ve grown a lot in our careers, our relationships, and our faith together and I couldn’t be more thankful for all of the people I’ve had the pleasure of doing life alongside at the office (love you #teamXOMAD), at home, and overseas.

Nichole: Everything. Honestly I feel very blessed with my life and am truly grateful.

WHO are you most thankful for this year?

Hayley: I feel so sappy talking about who I’m most thankful for, but definitely my friends who have wholeheartedly supported me and encouraged me. There are four in particular who have encouraged me within the realms of professional development, relationships and faith. They’re all keepers and I feel incredibly blessed to have them in my life.

Fatima: I am most thankful for my family. My mom for showing me the importance of standing up for yourself. My dad for making me laugh even when I don’t want to. My brother for the tough love. and my dog for never failing to make me smile.

Francis: You know you’ve found a keeper when you gladly accept they’re your better half. I’m most thankful for my Aussie (S/O @melaniedylankim).

What’s your favorite Thanksgiving dish?

Francis: Fried turkey. Who’s got the plug? HMU.

Kelly: My mom has a wine decanter that she pulls out for the holidays. It’s this incredible shape and I really love that. Unless we’re talking about food, then the answer is pie.

What brand is great at thanking influencers and how?

Nichole: @enohammocks. They are always posting user and influencer generating content and spreading good cheer with their motivational content.

Fatima: @FentyBeauty. The reason Rihanna’s beauty line has been so successful is because 1. it’s Rihanna’s beauty line and 2. because of influencers. Rihanna and her team acknowledge this and instead of solely posting pictures of models on their IG feed, they repost tutorial videos and photos of influencers wearing the product. Some influencers even got the special invite to her beauty shows.
