The North Dakota Hospital Association (NDHA) partnered with XOMAD to execute a creator-led campaign that educated residents about Medicaid Expansion and encouraged enrollment. The campaign used trusted local messengers to reach tribal communities, low-income populations, and other underserved groups across North Dakota.

The Challenge:
The North Dakota Hospital Association sought to reach Native Americans, residents under 40, single childless adults, and low-income families to educate them on Medicaid eligibility and encourage enrollment.
XOMAD Solution: #GetCovered #HealthyND
XOMAD’s proprietary technology activated 57 local trusted community messengers with a following between 1,000 to 150,000 followers that matched NDHA’s criteria to engage with target communities, educate and encourage enrollment.
XOMAD provided creators with pre-made content to share with their social media followers that explained eligibility and enrollment information in an easy-to-understand way.
The Results:
- 180 posts & stories garnered over 28,500 engagements with target audiences including questions about eligibility & where to find more information on Medicaid programs.
- Thanks to the targeting enabled by XOMAD’s proprietary technology engine, over 80% of the North Dakotans reached by the program saw multiple pieces of content from participating creators.
- On average a member of the audience saw over 4 pieces of #GetCovered #HealthyND content. Repeated exposure to content from multiple trusted creators increases the likelihood of audience action.
- 59.8% (over 356,000) of all North Dakota residents were reached through XOMAD’s program, ensuring significant penetration into eligible communities.

Our work with NDHA represents one of several campaigns focused on educating Americans about Medicaid eligibility and raising awareness about how to enroll and maintain coverage.
